"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you."
— Maya Angelou
Iris Svis is an international film and television actress, producer, and director. Born in Siberia, she was introduced to the arts at a young age through dance and music, laying a solid foundation for her creative journey. At just fourteen, she began a successful modeling career that took her around the globe, immersing her in diverse cultures and igniting a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling.
Her global experiences eventually led her to acting, where she found a passion for portraying stories that highlight the universal threads connecting people across cultures. Iris recently appeared in the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, sharing the screen with Jon Hamm and Jennifer Aniston.
As a producer, Iris has worked on short films, web series, and multiple feature films. Her award-winning short film The Showdown—which she co-wrote, produced, and starred in—was recognized at five international film festivals, including “Best Action Thriller” at the Teknochat Film Festival in Barcelona. The film also earned her the Best Actress award at the Standalone Film Festival in Los Angeles. She is currently producing and directing her debut action series, BBB: Bounty Hunting, Inc.
Motivated by a passion for meaningful storytelling and creative collaboration, Iris is dedicated to creating work that resonates with audiences and inspires lasting impact.
Bringing raw and beautiful emotions to the world through the camera lens. No matter how big or small the project is, it’s all about showing your passion to the world and elevating people’s dreams. Another huge passion of mine is supporting animals in need, so I am currently involved with Stray Cat Alliance. Big shout out to all the staff and volunteers who work there – they are the real heroes and animal advocates.
"I’ve been a film producer and a moviemaker for over 10 years now. When it comes to bringing the right people on board for each specific project, that’s where I come in. It’s all about the right fit, managing personalities, styles, and skills. Early on, I identify what a project needs and cater to its specific needs. Is it an action or are we showcasing lots of prosthetics and so on and so forth?
At the end of the day, the work of the team is a reflection of my work and I value each and every person I work with and making sure they have everything they need to showcase their best work. And no, it’s never easy, easy is boring ad I don’t want it to be easy. My team is all about people, we are like big fun family and every challenge we face is discussed amongst us and we make a decision together. I listen to my teamsters, they always have good points. The biggest lesson I’ve learned, sometimes you just have to seat back and listen. I think risk taking is a crucial part of everything I do in life, not just professionally, but also personally. I believe it to be an important component of success. Sometimes taking a leap without knowing if there is a safety net down there is scary, but also can be rewarding. That’s why I want to bring up a current risk taking of mine. Great group of people I would like to work with on an upcoming project that is TV series called Mission Critical. As of now, we have Mike Kiely and Jane Crossby, as writers and Caitlin Brown as Director of Photography, as well as Artur Lago-V. and myself as producers on the show. Without any expectation we jump into this adventure because we love movie making and hoping it will lead to more opportunities, relationships and collaborations. I have a good feeling about this one!"
“We tell ourselves stories in order to live”
— Joan Didion
"Movies and TV are about telling someone’s story and I want to be able to tell as many as I can. Those stories are diverse, human and relate to each and everyone. TV has to reflect the world and that means that I need to wake up everyday fired up with a burning desire to tell the untold stories..."
We had a blast making this award-winning film.
